This top quality natural jadeite antique bangle of 194.73ct. literally embodies the buddhist mantra "Om mani padme hum", which translates to "The jewel in the flower". "Jewel" refers to enlightenment and wisdom, which enables one to love unconditionally. This invocation is used to honour the Buddhist symbol of compassion without prejudice. In many ancient as well as modern cultures, jade has been and always will be "Yu", the "Gem Supreme" and the "Jewel of Heaven", "Stone of the Heart".

Technique: This bangle is considered to be an antique item. It's got a slightly rougher texture, which is the result of polishing marks (called "orange peel skin"). Its shape is slightly oval and its size is smaller than nowadays. These characteristics imply that the bangle is cut according to the tradional methods, which were the custom until around 1920. These days jade is being polished with diamond powder and has a much smoother surface (to be seen through a magnifying glass).
