18K RELIGIOUS MIRACULOUS MEDAL

The front of this pendant pictures Mary with "O Marie concue sans peche priez pour nous. Qui avons recours a vous". On the back it represents the M for Mary with Jesus' cross, Mary's 12 stars (which depict the 12 apostles, 12 tribes of Israel etc.), the sacred heart of Jesus and the immaculate heart of Mary at the bottom. These kind of pendants are called "Miraculous Medals."

The medal was first created in Paris by St. Catherine Labouré, a Sister of Charity, after a vision she was given by Our Lady. Our thanks to Una O.M. for explaining us what this pendant is all about.
