Absolute top notch Victorian Royal seal, rock crystal and gold, stunning quality

Noblesse oblige... Of course you can just sign your letters but, noblesse oblige (privilege entails responsibility), you can also use a personal seal. And then there are seals and seals, but this must be the mother of all seals. Such beauty we really never ever had. Made in the purest rock crystal in a two tone gold mounting (18K red and green gold) in absolutely stunning craftsmanship.

The credo engraved in mirror writing in the actual seal says: “Dieu aide aux gardiens des rois” which is French for “God helps the king's guardians”. We are no experts in heraldry but are pretty sure this coat belongs to the family de Grammont - Granges

The family de Grammont are among the five most noble families in France and come from the family of the barons de Granges, barons of the county of Bourgogne in France. This family had many great officers at the court and armies of the Dukes of Bourgogne, and three archbishops of Besançon. Four Grammonts were lieutenant generals in the armies of the King of France in the eighteenth century. The family crest of de Grammont bears also the crosses of Bourgogne and the three heads of the three kings in memory of the trip of the relics from the Holy Land and transported to Cologne by Frederick Barbarossa where they rest today.
