Glass jewelry

glass

See our: glass jewelry.

Various ornaments for personal adornment that have been made of, or decorated with, glass, e.g. beads, bangles, finger rings, brooches, pendants, and necklaces. Glass has been so used for jewelry since earliest times in Egypt and the Roman Empire and also in Venice probably before the 11th century. It has been used in modern jewelry by René Lalique and by Louis Comfort Tiffany and recently by Steuben.

Glass has also been used to imitate gemstones and in composite stones, as well as in paste jewelry. Much glass jewelry has been made in Czechoslovakia, France, Germany, and Austria.
