A variety of ivory from the outside portion of the tusks (canine teeth) of the walrus. It has a dense texture and a core that is coarser than elephant ivory and hippopotamus ivory. Also called 'morse ivory'. A somewhat similar ivory is obtained from the sperm (cachalot) whale and wart hog.
