Global Ring Size Guide

There are several systems for denoting the sizes of jewelry rings in use around the world:

United States and Canada: Ring sizes are determined using a numerical scale with quarter and half sizes. A full size increment is a 0.032 inch (0.8128 mm) increase in diameter, or roughly 1/10 inch (0.1005 in or 2.55 mm) in inner circumference.
Europe (excluding Ireland and the UK): Ring sizes are defined using a numerical scale, including half sizes.
Ireland, United Kingdom, and Australia: Ring sizes are measured using an alphabetical scale, with half sizes included.
Japan: Ring sizes are denoted using a numerical scale that consists of whole sizes only.
Switzerland: Ring sizes utilise a numerical scale, incorporating quarter and half sizes.
Germany: Ring sizes are determined by the actual internal diameter in millimetres, in line with the ISO standard.
ISO Standard: The ISO standard for ring sizes, ISO 8653:1986, specifies standard ring sizes in terms of the inner circumference of the ring measured in millimetres.
